My mother was so happy to have the firearms into the hands of people who would appreciate them and know what do with them.  Clearly neither she nor I fit that bill!  We both know that Roger would want it that way too.

I have never come across a website that is tailored to collectors such as oldguns.ca.  I was researching a family piece and was contemplating selling it, I took a chance and called oldguns.ca and got to speak with Sean, who is the fellow who's website it is.  After speaking with Sean, I was stunned to learn that he promotes his site for the benefit of collectors and non collectors, he will post your piece (photograph, research, field emails) on his website at no charge, he will give you an honest appraisal at no charge, he will give you as much time as you need to answer all your questions , all this at no charge.  He promotes specialized firearms restoration craftsmen on his site, again, all this for the benefit of the antique firearms community.  The first thing Sean said to me was, he was not in business and this is strictly a hobby for him, keep up the good work and thanks for helping promote the firearms collecting fraternity.

Through inheritance, I found myself wondering what do I do with three long guns that were now in my possession... a classic Schneider Enfield and two Ross rifles. I came across Sean’s site and decided to connect. What a good decision!! I had a great conversation with Sean the other day about things in general relating to antique firearms and such, that quite naturally drifted to his collecting addiction and a discussion about his need to run testimonials on his website. I inquired as to where and why he thought he would ever need to defend himself and he expressed a concern for one....and only one....individual who innocently questioned his integrity as a result of a previous deal with another party that went wrong. This didn't sit well for me because the Sean I know does not need a testimonial to support his standing reputation.  His reputation and his integrity is over the top. This website is tailored for and to collectors. His dedication is beyond reproach, but if a testimonial is required, then let this one be the first and last and let it put any doubts to rest, about his commitment to anyone.  Sean does not need testimonials and I would say to anyone that may have had bad dealings with other people - Call Sean
